I know a lot of people are doing this right now and as I've left memories on their blogs, I've decided it would be fun to see what memories some of you have with me.

Happy Birthday Dad (and Happy 24th!)
Not growing up in Utah, our family celebrated my dad's birthday on the 24th of July. Happy birthday dad! Now that we've moved back we get to enjoy another holiday in the year! Chris had to work, but we got to enjoy the afternoon and evening. We went to Joy's house and the kids swam, slip n slided, and jumped on the tramp. Then we had a BBQ, and ended the night with sparklers. Here are some pictures from the day:
Lyla smiling for the camera. Can you see cheese...
Cooling off with popsicles...Connor, Paden, Lyla, Tyce, and Luke
One of the best moments of the night...Paki demonstrating how to use the sparklers!
Connor's amazement with the sparkler
The sparkler dance!

Lyla laughing!
Here is a video of Lyla laughing at a toy helicopter flying. She laughed at it over and over again. She thought it was the best thing ever!
Pause the music at the bottom of the blog so you can hear Lyla.

Happy 4th of July!
We had the best Fourth of July. Unfortunatly I only took pictures of the parade. We had a family reunion with my cousins up at my Uncle Bob and Aunt Val's cabin in Cascade Idaho. It is just outside of McCall. It was beautiful! We got there on Thursday afternoon and stayed until Sunday. We went on bike rides, played at the lake, sat around the camp fire, ate delicious food, and caught up on what everyone has been up to. On the Fourth of July we woke up and ate a yummy dutch oven breakfast, went to an awesome small town parade, took the kids in the bike trailer for a really long bike ride (Chris is my hero for pulling the trailer with both kids in it!), then we ate a fabulous dinner (grilled meat and veggies, pasta salad, jello jiggler stars, fruit, and homemade ice cream with brownies! Yum!), and then we went and watched fireworks. It was an all american Fourth of July! It made me realize that life the simple way is the best way! Thanks Bob and Val for letting us camp out at the cabin! It was so much fun to see everyone!
