Bath Time

Connor and Lyla's favorite thing to do together is take a bath.  I can't figure out why Lyla likes it so much considering she is either getting spit at or has a gallon of water dumped on her head by her loving brother.  They both have a great time!

Family

I found a quote a really liked so I decide to share it with you all.  It comes from the visiting teaching message in the Ensign for February.  It has made me think a lot about families and the relationships that I have with members of my family.  I am really grateful that Heavenly Father put us in families, it is such a help and blessing as I go through the ups and downs of life.  I really do value the relationships I have with my family.  Just something to think about.

"...When families are functioning as designed by God, the relationships found therein are the most valued of mortality..." Elder Robert D. Hales.

Temporary Insanity

I seem to have temporarily lost my mind: I am now signed up for a sprint triathlon in Vegas on April 12th.  What was I thinking?  I've been training for about two weeks and it isn't getting any easier.  Hopefully it will or I might die trying to complete the silly thing.  My mom, sister, and a couple friends from Utah are doing it with me-we're always looking for more people to join us! I'm sure I will have pictures to post when were all done (If I live to see the end).  Wish me luck because I'm going to need it!

Coach Said So...

We've been to two of the Davis High basketball games this year (Go Darts!) because we had free tickets and Connor loves to watch any sport. After the games Connor comes home and plays imaginary basketball in the front room. He runs from one end of the living room to the other shooting baskets and playing defense. He tells Chris he is the coach and Kim and Lyla are the cheerleaders. The other thing that happens after the game is that Connor starts to use "the coach" as an excuse to get out of doing things. For example, the other day Connor brought out a bucket of toys to play with in the living room. After he was done playing and before I could tell him to take it back to his room he said, "Mom, coach said to leave the bucket out here."

Happy Birthday Chris!

Chris turned 28 yesterday! Man he is getting old! We had a big Wilson birthday bash.  There are 5 Wilson birthdays in January (Chris, Joy, Annie, Luke, Tyler).  We all met at our house, had dinner and hung out.  It was a lot of fun.  We're so thankful for Chris and all he does for our family.  He is the best dad and husband!

Imaginary Friends

Connor's new thing is playing with his imaginary friends.  He is always talking to and making up games with his new friends.  As we were driving to Arizona he asked Chris if he could play with his friend Quesadilla. Chris started asking Connor about his friend.  Connor told Chris that Quesadilla is a girl, from mexico, who likes to play outside.  Where does he get this stuff?  A few days later Connor came up to me and said, "Mom, my friends want some candy." I looked at him and said, " Your friends want candy?"  He replied by saying, "Actually, I just want some candy!" He was trying to be so sneaky.  How did we keep ourselves entertained before we had kids?
