One Last Camping Trip

Last weekend we went camping up Logan canyon with Rawlee and Daisy and Scott and Elaine. Daisy ran the Logan marathon (yes she is amazing!).  We had a great time spending time with family.  It was so cool to watch Daisy cross the finish line! I did learn one thing from the trip...I will be sticking to triathlons!
Connor and Ellie playing, playing, and playing some more!

My Big Boy

Connor started preschool this year and loves it! He is so excited everyday that he gets to go.  Here are the pics of the first day of school. I am so proud of Con and the person he is becoming.

Lyla is always trying to be just like Con.  Everyday when he gets his back pack i hear Lyla say, "I wan ba pa!"  Here are pictures of her with the "ba pa".  I love my little girl!

Life as a working woman

I have a new appreciation for all those moms who work all week, raise good kids, cook, clean, and seem to do it all with ease.  The week before school started I received a call from a school in Layton offering me a part time position as a computer lab manager (I know me and computers, don't laugh too hard...they were desperate for a teacher).  After some deliberation I took the job.  I work Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday from 9-3.  Thank you so much to my neighbor Jamie and my sister-in-law Joy... It is so comforting to know my kids are well cared for.  It is really hard to get everything done!  I am exhausted by the end of the day.  At least I'm learning new things, and as Chris said, "Our blog is going to be awesome!" There is always a bright side to things!

Trip to Arizona

For Labor Day weekend we went to Arizona to visit.  It was a weekend full of fun!  We left after work on Thursday and drove all night.  We went to the lake, golfed, went to the ASU game, girls night out, watched home videos, went swimming, had a BBQ and hung out.  It was a weekend to remember.

After wake surfing... I fell, the board hit me on the way down, and we were off to urgent care. I now have 5 stitches and nice shiner!  Thanks to Lindsay for the awesome baywatch moment to save me!

Davis Rodeo!

Last Saturday we went to the Davis rodeo. We went with the Reeves and Starks, friends from our ward and Joy and Aaron (Chris' twin sister and her family). The kids had a great time. Lyla was in awe by the horses and Connor was entertained by the clown. He was hillarious.

What We've Been Doing

Chris' work took the company to the Bees game.  Connor had a blast.  We started with a picnic, watched the game (yes, the Bees won!), watched fire works, and Connor got to run the bases!  Wow! What a night. Here is Chris' dad Scott, Connor and Chris waiting for the game to start.

We went to the Zoo last Thursday with Joy and her kids and some friends in our ward.  It was a good time.  Here is Connor and his buddy Jayden.
Here is how Lyla enjoyed the zoo.
Connor's favorite game to play on the Wii is Mario Kart!  He could play it for hours!  Here is Chris and Connor playing, and Lyla trying to be just like her older brother.
The night of the opening ceremony  for the Olympics we had some friends over to watch and eat Chinese food.  We made egg rolls, fried rice, orange chicken, and potstickers.  It was delicious and the opening ceremonies were fantastic! Go team USA! My friend Betsy brought dessert which was mud cups with gummy worms.  She told us they eat bugs in China so we were still sticking with our theme.  Here is Lyla enjoying her dessert.
